New possibilities for a Meatless Monday meal appear
during the summer months when a variety of delicious vegetables and fruits
become available. One of my early mentors, Alfred Portale from Gotham Bar and
Grill, is now offering a $25 “greenmarket to gotham” prix fixe vegetarian lunch
menu for the summer season. And –
a portion of the sales will be donated to GrowNYC’s Public School Initiative
that introduces students to greenmarket produce, sustainable gardens, and
